Hello and welcome to my home page!

I am thankful to everyone who is interested in my life and creative journey.

With this site, I sincerely wish to introduce you to my artistic career, my numerous concerts, tours, and roles in film and television. And of course to the people who played a significant part in my life.

I would like my site to be interesting to all those to whom I can say – “Do you remember this?” And also to those to whom I can say – “Did you know?”. And most of all to those that I want to tell – “Don't forget”.

“I have followed the artistic and public life of this remarkable singer, Elvira Uzunian, for several decades already. She was endowed with multiple talents, a bright artistic temperament, and a natural feeling for the stage.
Most importantly, her tireless desire to improve and polish her talent justly carried her into the front ranks of the most interesting, attractive and charming of Armenia’s musical elite.
I have known her a long time and loved her a long time, and will continue to love her. “

Professor Edward Mirzoyan, Composer, People's Artist of the USSR and Republic of Armenia.

“Elvira Uzunian has such a polished singing technique, that one should perhaps write poems about her rather than critical reviews. Without exaggeration, she takes her place among the finest examples of art in the gallery of Soviet opera. Naturalness, depth, a multi-faceted interpretation - these are the characteristics that distinguish the work of the talented singer."

Moscow critic E. Dobrinina,
"Soviet Music" magazine No. 2, 1977

Her performance has so much warmth and depth of thought that, whether you want to or not, you become a real admirer of her talent. She works restlessly and always achieves her goals.
She is a wonderful example for the future generations of how to devote yourself to achieve your ambitions.
All her life, past, present and future, belongs to music and for that she can be praised and honored. I am very proud that she is also a People’s Artist of Georgia.
My 40 years on the opera stage has convinced me that there are performers with God-given talents and performers who are self-made through determination. The absence of natural talent in the latter reduces your pleasure in the performance.
But Elvira Ouzounian was born a singer and even if she were born 100 times again she would still have only one path to bring happiness to people through her performances”

Professor Zurab Anjaparidze,
People’s Artist of USSR,
